An Island Adventure for the Family

It is normal to think that a destination that is classed as an island paradise would be more suitable for the older generation. That may not be as appealing to the younger ones in the family. A thought like this may be just enough to make one think that a vacation in Mauritius would not be suited for the family. This cannot be farther from the truth.

The Modernization of the Island

It is hard to believe that an island that is described as being the next best thing to heaven would be as modern as what the island of Mauritius is. But it stands to reason that it would have to be when it received 355,000 tourists just in the first quarter of 2018 alone.

The Island Caters to the Children

Of course the tourist industry is going to put some focus on things for the children to see and do. But, what is most unique is that some of the luxury hotels have made their young guests a big priority. Sometimes it is just simple little things that make a difference. For example, at breakfast the children sometimes appear to be cranky but restaurant staff will take the extra steps to please the little ones so the parents don’t become frustrated.

It is common for many hotels to have various clubs for adults. But some of the hotels here have a mini club like the one at the Royal Palm which is designated just for the little ones. It is like a villa on its own with everything about it being sized to the children’s needs. It has ride on bikes and trucks and its own puppet theatre. There is a ton of toys to be enjoy when the kids are not enjoying their very own swimming pool.
